Let The Good Times Roll

Jan 3, 2010 06:13 by Eixo

its 6am and adamlan is slowing down but still rocking. Adam and Alan are playing Age Of Empires, John and I finished up some borderlands (now john is passed out under a table) alex is in the office sleeping, steve is playing the force unleashed and I am now kind of bored and looking for something to do. Maybe I'll bug thomas. Tournaments were a great success congrats to Alan and Danny who swept the DoD tourneys and great job to everyone on another successful lan! Thanks to all who came out.

SO MUCH BLOOD!

Merry Adamlan Eve Gamers!

Jan 2, 2010 00:20 by Eixo

Hey everyone,

So we're looking at having a spectacular time tomorrow at the Science and Engineering Library on OSU's campus. Feel free to google map yourself a route (the address is 175 w. 18th ave columbus ohio 43210). Bring a bag o chips and some pop and a wee bit o money ( $10-20 cash preferably so we can just toss that around towards a massive food purchase) I am not sure if you will need a buck ID to get into the library but if you do feel free to call Alex, John, Myself, or another OSU student. If you need our # send us a facebook message and we'll send it to you (or you can check our profiles, some of us have them in our profiles)

Get ready for some fun!

Maybe the helicopter is made out of chocolate!

(p.s. way to go buckeyes! 2010 rose bowl champs)

Driving Directions

Dec 31, 2009 14:45 by ShadowOTE

AdamLAN 9 is just around the corner, so we thought it would probably be a good idea to give directions. We're going to be in the basement of the SEL (175 W 18TH AVE) on the OSU main campus. Driving directions are below, but here's a map. Basically, pull up from 19th and turn around when you get on campus, unload your gear at the SEL, and we'll show you where to park when you arrive. As for what to bring, aside from your computer you should probably bring a power strip (and possibly an extension cord if you've got one lying around), some Cat 5e, and some pizza money. A full checklist is posted, but that's a good summary. We'll see you there!

It's the Final Countdown!

Games List Update:

Dec 17, 2009 20:20 by ShadowOTE

Well, as AL9 approaches, we have a few minor annoucements to make. First and foremost, the games list has been updated to include Warcraft 3 (and the Frozen Throne Exapansion) as well as BF2. Secondly, as some of you have probably noticed, portions of the site are a bit... dated. We'll be updating the banners and other pages over the next few days to bring everything up to speed, as well as looking into adding a registration page. Keep your eye on the ball, cause AdamLAN 9 is just around the corner!

AdamLAN 9 Date Revision

Dec 10, 2009 12:43 by ShadowOTE

Well, as it turns out, the SEL building is closed on January 1st, so the revised schedule is from Jan. 2nd to Jan. 3rd. Luckily, that leaves us with all of Saturday and Sunday to kill zombies, play video games, and hold the annual Day of Defeat Tournament. Full details should be posted in the next week or two, so we'll keep you posted.

Hey, it's KIDDIELAND!

Announcing AdamLAN 9

Nov 20, 2009 13:55 by ShadowOTE

After a long break between AdamLANs, the AdamLAN team is proud to announce the 9th official AdamLAN. The current plan is to host AdamLAN on the OSU main campus in the SEL building on January 1st, 2010. We're planning a bunch of neat stuff, from Mario Kart on the projectors to the usual range of tournaments and crazy gaming. Full details will be up over Thanksgiving break, but for the moment we're expecting things to run much as they did last time. We'll keep you posted.

AdamLAN 8 Post-Game

Jan 6, 2009 14:27 by ShadowOTE

Well, AdamLAN 8 was officially a resounding success. There were several games of DoD and TF Classic played, along with a few rounds of TF2, Age of Empires, and even Warcraft 3. The tournament winners for DOD Green were Alan and Joel; the winners of DOD Purple were Mark and Adam. Thanks to everyone who participated and made this year's winter AdamLAN a success.

In other news, we are working to resolve several issues with the server. We've upgraded the hardware and are in the process of getting everything working again, so we appologize for the recent website downtime, particularly considering that the site was down just before AdamLAN. Most of the server functionality has been restored, but we are still working on some parts. The Teamspeak2 server should be up, and we've added a Left 4 Dead server as well. We'll keep you posted.

Forward glorious cart!

- HEADSET is optional
- GAMES
- MONEY, $10-$20 for food runs or anything else we may need/want
- CAT5 CABLE (10') or WIRELESS capability
- POWERSTRIP / EXTENSION CORD
- SNACK/DRINK for everyone. Mountain Dew and Red Bull are preferred
- SLEAZY WOMEN AND NARCOTICS

AdamLAN will go all night into Sunday, January 4.

What's planned?
In the past we've had tournaments, prizes, and more. AL8 has potential for all this. Why? Nothing is officially planned yet! The Day of Defeat trophies will be back and up for grabs, but this year I'd like to find something NEW! I have my ideas; bring yours!

Happy New Year,
The Phantom

TeamSpeak Update

Sep 25, 2008 17:49 by ShadowOTE

For those of you planning on joining the TeamSpeak chat, we have a quick update on it. Since last night I've been trying to connect to the TeamSpeak server, but haven't had any luck, so unfortunentally, I probably won't be joining you guys. That said, the TeamSpeak server is up and running, its just that my ISP or cable modem hates TeamSpeak. Adam is planning on being there, though he has asked that if people can show up around 8pm that they do so, as he may not be available at the originally planned time (9pm, for those of you wondering but too lazy to read the last post).

Herding cats,

TeamSpeak Chat Tomorrow

Sep 24, 2008 18:51 by ShadowOTE

As you may have seen in our previous posts, we have been planning a TeamSpeak chat to plan out the next AdamLAN. Right now, the chat is planned for 9pm tomorrow night. Yes, I said tomorrow night. I'm sorry for the late notice, but the long term scheduling idea didn't exactly work out. For those of you who don't know, the AdamLAN TS2 server is currently reachable at adamlan.org:8767. I'm also planning on recording tomorrow night's session, assuming I can get my router to let me connect. Hopefully we'll see you there, and if not, i'll hopefully have the recording up sometime Friday.

Frag, OUT!
